I was in the private practice of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology for 15 years before starting my current position at the Palo Alto VA-Stanford. I worked for 10 years as an IME/QME. I have worked as an expert witness in several personal injury and medical malpractice cases. I was active with the former California Medical Review Inc("CMRI") in the 1990s, and performed many medical case reviews in that capacity. Currently, I perform direct patient care, teaching, and clinical research. I am Chief of Rheumatology at the Palo Alto VA. I am a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine(Stanford)

I have been active in the clinical practice of pulmonary and critical care for 30 years. I am the Director of Adult Critical Care Services at Presbyterian/St. Lukes Medical Center, Denver. I am also the Co-Chairman of the Quality Medical Committee at P/SL. I have won several teaching awards as well as additional professional achievement awards. I have performed medical chart reviews and IME's for the past 28 years and have servde as a medical expert for medical malpractice cases for the past 4 years. I earned my medical degree and performed my internship and residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Il. I held a faculty appointment as a clinical instructor of medicine at Northwestern until last year when my hospitals (Glenbrook and Evanston) left Northwestern and affiliated with University of Chicago Medical School instead. I have been out on disability for 10 years because of reflex sympathetic dystrophy following an ACL reconstruction. Before that, I was in private practice in internal medicine for 8 years. 3 of those years, I was on the medical review board at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. Before private practice, I worked at Kaiser Permanente in Landover, MD. The last two years there, I was department chair of internal medicine.
