Hand Surgery, Plastic Surgery - For over 20 years, Dr. James Wire has worked with a plethora of law firms representing both plaintiff and defendant. He has vast experience and knowledge of injuries and conditions including dog bites; post traumatic scarring; burns; medical conditions including skin and breast cancer; hand and congenital conditions; and cosmetic surgery complications. Dr. Wire is board-certified, with extensive experience in treatment methodologies including revisions, transplants, lasers, and grafting. His reports are concise and consistent and based upon his thorough knowledge and clinical experience.

Plastic Surgery - I am board certified through 2032. I am currently in an active plastic and reconstructive private practice and perform the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive procedures. I perform cosmetic surgery of the face, neck, breasts, and body. I perform skin cancer removals and reconstructions almost daily in an office setting. I perform major cancer reconstructions and have a special interest in breast reconstruction. I perform wound care and manage traumatic injuries. I currently take call for the hospital emergency center.

Plastic Surgery, General Surgery - Over 15 years of medical experience. Board certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery. I hold leadership positions in the departments of general surgery and plastic surgery . With a wealth of overall medical knowledge, my ability to work well with others makes me a valuable asset. I sit on committees overseeing provider clinical performance improvement across all medical and surgical specialties as well as operating room management. Chart reviews, file reviews, utilization management decisions, appeals review, peer reviews, and medical legal consulting are my areas of expertise.

Plastic Surgery - I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery with ten years reconstructive surgery experience. I recently opened Horton Law and Medicine, where I perform medicolegal consulting and expert witness services. I would like to start also performing file reviews. While I currently have no utilization management experience, I was recently Chief of Surgery at an intermediate sized hospital (three years) and have significant Quality Management experience.
